The four ways to go from Hanoi to Sapa
The train, for those who want to sleep well

✅ Trains have charm: the walls and floors are wood, and yes as trains are oldies. This is why I think that the trains deserve this positive point, as they travel in one of them for me was a cultural experience in itself, interesting and fun.

✅ The train is the most comfortable means of transport, and I can tell, having experienced all the other options. On the train you’re lying on a mattress of truth, 100% horizontal and large enough to go quite comfortable. The only but in a matter of comfort is the fact that lace pathways are old and the train paste some boats (honestly, nothing to do with the volantazos and braking of the bus).
❌ The train is a means of transport, average less expensive than the other, for example, the train in which I was cost 425000 dongs (17€) for the journey (era of the cheapest but I was very happy about), what I got here.
❌ The train doesn’t take you to Sapa directly, but that leaves you at Lao Cai to 35-40km of Sapa, your destiny. To get to Sapa from Lao Cai you should take a bus that leaves from the esplanade in front of the train station: the public bus costs 28.000 dongs (1.10€) and it is white, yellow and red, more information here.

💡Tip adventurer 1: you can book your train ticket in ista page.
🚽Tip adventuress 2: the trains have a private bathroom.
🚌 Tip adventurous 3: you can book a ticket for the bus from Lao Cai to Sapa here, but also what you can pick up in person (the only thing that these buses have 29 seats and the best you get is full).
🚅 Tip adventurous 4: cógete cabin 4 beds (I have heard that the 6-bed is too small for so many people, but the 4 is fine).
Sleeper Bus (sleeper bus), for those who want to reach fast and cheap

✅ You are lead direct from the Old Quarter (where you will probably stay in Hanoi) to the same Sapa in 5 and a half hours approximately.
✅ Bus night out on the 22:00 arrive in Sapa around 3:30, however, virtually all of the sleeper buses allow you to stay sleeping until 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning on the bus.
✅ The price is very economical – approximately 200,000 dongs (7.8€) per journey.

❌ In Vietnam, the driving style is very particular, here is often the drivers attach volantazos, acelelerones and braking. For this reason, sleeping in this type of bus can be a difficult task (and sleep well, for me at least, impossible).
❌ The seats are made for the size, vietnamese, or whether they are a bit narrow and not very long. Honestly, if you are a large person you’re not going to feel 100% at ease.

❌ The seats are organized into bunk beds, the bottom bunk is on the ground floor and the one above probably one and a half meters from the ground. Therefore, this transport is not the most suitable for people with reduced mobility.
🚌 Best companies: the companies with the best reputation are Sapa Express, Green bus, and Fansipan, and can be booked on this page (Baolau) or this (Vexere).
The sleeper bus VIP luxury, for those who want to travel with the space.

✅ As the sleeper bus normal, the sleeper bus VIP take you direct from the Old Quarter (where you will probably stay in Hanoi) to the same Sapa in 5 and a half hours approximately (and leave you to sleep until 7:00 pm).
✅ Are much more spacious than the sleeper buses normal. In these buses, you have almost a half bus-width for you, and even a bit of privacy, as they have a curtain that you can take. in Addition, most of these buses have a USB port to charge your phone or you want. Some even have a remote control to recline your seat, and massage.

❌ Despite being an option VIP, in my opinion, are even less comfortable to sleep in trains, since you’re still suffering from the volantazos and other movements during the movement of the bus.
❌ More expensive than the sleeper bus, 400.000 dongs (16€) per journey.
🚌 Best companies: VIP buses with the best reputation are the companies Sao Việt (AC Sleeper VIP 21 seats), Thế Anh (AC Sleeper VIP 20 seats) and Fansipan Express Bus (AC Sleeper VIP 20 seats), and can be booked on this page (Baolau) or this (Vexere).
The van, a transport for all

✅ The van is probably the best means of transportation for those those who do not want to or you may get a bunk bed or lie in a hammock in the soil.
✅ As the sleeper bus normal, lead you , direct from the Old Quarter to the same Sapa in 5 and a half hours approximately.

❌ As vehicles are lighter than the sleeper buses, and therefore the drivers of these furgos tend to go a little crazy.
🚌 Best companies: two of the companies most commonly used are Eco Sapa Limousine and Luxury Van Limousine and can be booked on the page of Vexere and Baolau.
And even here the 4 best options on how to go to Sapa, I hope that there will be no doubt about which option to choose.
